| I am a self-taught artist who paints mainly in acrylics, and occasionally in oils. From my home studio, I produce paintings that express my intense interest in color and light. My artwork has given me contentment and joy since retiring from accounting. I believe I have inherited a natural talent from my mother and my great-uncle Adolphus Burton who was a college art teacher and oil painter in British Columbia. Biography:
| Although I have been drawing and sketching from an early age, I pursued decorative arts more as a less expensive way to maximize my own home decor. From plant pots and garden gnomes to murals, faux finishes and tole painting on my walls and ceramic dragons in dazzling metallics. Raising four children of my own and a few foster children along the way, my talents and aspirations lay dormant for several years. I have had successful solo exhibitions in a local coffee house/art gallery and my paintings have been available for sale through a local framing studio gallery.
